3D Printed Belt Fed Is Here

RBC-9
This week's newsletter begins with one of the more interesting projects in recent years: The RBC-9. The RBC-9 is a Roller-delayed Belt-fed Carbine chambered in 9mm NATO, developed by Nopel 0 and currently in Open Beta. It makes incredible use of both novel and complex mechanisms, such as interchangeable barrels and two-stage charging handles. The most interesting aspect of this 68-round beast may be that it was all designed with the Ender 3 in mind, making it within reach for many, as opposed to some lesser-known large-platform designs.

Welrod and VP-22
Perhaps you're the type that prefers the quiet perfection of a single shot design. In that case, we present the Welrod MkII reference model, which highlights true simplicity of form. If you'd like a more functional, printed project, you may be interested in the VP-22, by guncad veteran Mussy and his collaborator StKapiVru. The VP-22 is a simple, magazine-fed pistol, designed with the Welrod as inspiration. It can hold 12 .22LR cartridges and is fired via a bolt action, which may very well be an improvement on the functionality of its predecessor.

Practical Scrap Metal Small Arms Collection
Speaking of inspiration, DEFCAD is also host to many of Professor Parabellum’s Practical Scrap Metal Small Arms books. These texts demonstrate the simplicity at the heart of some of the most iconic designs out there, and just how useful some scrap metal and practical know-how can be. Currently on Volume 26, and with more to come; the good professor is our guide through pocket pistols, revolvers, self-loading handguns, SMGs, and shotguns. He takes us through differing levels of complexity and manufacturability, and is a great tutor to guncad beginners and veterans alike.
