In addition to their highly popular AR-15 lower, Hoffman Tactical also offers an LR-308 lower that brings the design and reinforcement of its little brother to a full-size rifle caliber!
This design is a single-piece print whose most visible feature is a large wall rising above the left side of the lower and connecting with the buffer tower, serving as a strong reinforcement for this critical part. As with other printable lower designs, the front takedown pin hole is achieved via two printable pin plates which are bolted on.
This lower comes in two versions - the “Basic” version and the “Super” version. The difference between these two versions is the method of reinforcement. The Basic version utilizes common hardware store components for reinforcement, while the Super version utilizes a reinforcement kit available at the designer’s website, hoffmantactical.com.
