Can Cannon Mortar Shell

For your consideration: a printable, payload capable "mortar shell" designed to be launched by a Can Cannon-type AR-15 upper reciever. The shell includes the body, boosters ( 4x, optional, attach to body), nose cone, nose cone striker, striker cap (optional), spring, and nose cone plug. An additional hollow nose cone is provided for use with inert fillers. The firing pin used is is a 9d (3mm) nail, cut down to 42mm and inserted into the striker. The nose cone plug accepts a standard #209 shotgun primer. Fill the shell with confetti, or the filler of your choice, and have fun. Caveat emptor!
IMPORTANT: The slots in the tail portion of the body must align with the gas ports in the barrel insert of your Can Cannon, or the shell may break apart upon launching. Take note of the position of the gas ports and mark the launching tube accordingly for reference.
