The third entry in PotatoSociety’s “Fire” series, the Hellfire is a printable AR-15 lower which improves upon the earlier Wildfire design, and whose strength, reliability and ease of use have made it one of the most popular printable lower receivers available. Like the Wildfire, the Hellfire utilizes no metal parts in its assembly - the lower is assembled using printable bolts. Even the screwdriver tool needed for assembly is printable, meaning that the Hellfire can be fully printed and assembled using solely printed parts. Deep attention has been paid towards making each part easy to print and use. The buffer tower is reinforced using a strut arm which, unlike earlier Anderson models, stands proud from the lower itself. This arm has proven to be a very strong method of reinforcement. An interchangeable morale “token” is displayed on the side of the lower - several token designs are included and others can easily be designed and printed. Unlike earlier Anderson designs, this design comes with a variant compatible with fully automatic parts. This feature was in fact the main design inspiration for the Hellfire, once again proving that there is no restriction which quality engineering cannot overcome. Very well documented and easy to print, this lower is one of the best designs for a person new to printing.
