The 'Gun Stick' was developed by a police officer for defensive use and briefly produced in the 1960s by Outers. It is a very compact billy club or baton featuring a wide knuckle guard, making it hard to dislodge. After failing to achieve adoption or widespread popularity, production stopped.

'Anyone with standard police training can use the "GUNSTICK" effectively; no special instruction is required.

In many instances such as a routine license check, a sudden attack leaves a police officer no time to draw his gun. The "GUNSTICK" can be brought into action instantly, smashing down on an assailant's wrist, hand, or the weapon itself to disarm him.

When attacked by an aggressor wielding a bottle, club or knife, the "GUNSTICK" is the ideal close-quarter defense. The officer has the means to protect himself easily in circumstances where the use of his gun might be considered "undue force"
