IT IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR DECENTRALIZED CLANDESTINE MANUFACTURE, WITH MODULAR DESIGN. This is improved metric conversion of the machine pistol from vol.4 book of Bill Holmes, redesigned by me, to which I added a butt stock of my own design, converting it to submachine gun. I kept all dimensions as close as possible to the original ones, but it was not always possible, due to many wrong dimensions in the original design. By following the book the SMG can be made only by an experienced gunsmith who would solve the issues at the time of manufacture. I kept all feeding related dimensions as close as possible to the original ones, and I checked the feeding process steps, so the weapon's feeding reliability will be same or better as the original. I designed a very simple to make silencer, and included it in the design, as well as a brass catcher, to avoid leaving cases on the scene for special operations, or for collecting them for reloading at the shooting range. The silencer is useful as hearing protection device, not only to gain tactical advantage. Noise suppression level is unknown, because I didn't made a prototype for testing, but is expected to be average, based on design features and internal volume comparison with other designs. I also added base for mounting of commercial picatinny rails. Iron sights are of my own design, and are compatible with the silencer. Caliber of the weapon is 9x19mm Parabellum/NATO. It uses comercial STEN SMG magazines, or their substitute of my design, which 3D model you may find amongst the models I uploaded on this site - it was specifically designed for this submachine gun. As always in my designs, I use pure white color for welded surfaces, and pure red color for threaded surfaces(except planar surfaces, since there can be no thread). IMPORTANT UPDATE: The rear sight's lateral spring hole was on the right side, instead of on the left, I corrected this on 28.08.2016. Anyone who have downloaded the model before this date, please download it again, or mirror the sight yourself in the CAD software you use.
