Yugoslavian TMA-4 Anti-Tank Mine

The TMA-4 is a Yugoslavian made plastic cased minimum metal anti-tank blast mine. The mine consists of a cast block of TNT encased in plastic with three fuze wells in the top. A small fourth hole provides a means of attaching a short rope carrying handle.
Three plastic UTMA-4 fuzes are installed into the top of the mine. When pressure of around 100kg to 200kg is applied to the plunger of the fuze, a collar in the upper portion of the fuze body shears, allowing the plunger to be forced through a diaphragm into a small cap containing a friction sensitive composition which ignites and flashes through to the detonator. The only metallic part of the fuze (and the mine) is a small aluminum detonator case.
