A STEN magazine compatible version of the DIY AR9.
A 100% DIY 9mm semi-automatic carbine which combines printed parts sleeved over an internal steel tube for maximum durability and ease of construction.
- The printed upper receiver is sleeved over the inner steel tube and is permanently retained in place using a high strength epoxy such as JB Weld. The stock support collar can be printed first to check the ID is a good snug fit and whether any adjustments need to be made.
- The bolt assembly consists of a length of thick walled 25mm x 3mm (1" OD) tube combined with a breech insert and rear weight made from 19mm OD (3/4") bar stock. The breech insert can be 'sculpted' to shape using an angle grinder fitted with a 2mm grinding disc followed by filling - no mill is needed.
