Ar-15 Lower StormBlooper 4.0

about

This is lastest version of the non-really-famous StormBlooper.  It is a Ar-15 lower that intergrates the grip and the buffer tube to create a durable lower.

Tons of subtle upgrades over the 2.0 and parsecs better than the 1.0.

Buffer tube has been improved for better fit and function.

Smaller footprint for the full sized model  300x300.

Bo Katan Brace for full stability and not touching the shoulder.

Sweet Stock even a StormTrooper can aim with.

Buffer Sacriface Disk is now a printable item.

-----------------

This is an Ar-15 lower that was designed to be printed on an Ender 5 Plus or Creality K1Max (300mm X 300mm). However you can print the main body in two pieces attach them together. I have included pre-cut files (Lower Main A&B) for the Ender 3 (220mm X 220mm) and Bambu Labs (256mm X 256mm) build sizes.

Design constraints:

1. The design can only fit skinny fore-grips this is a product of front takedown pin reinforcement.

2. There is no buffer detent. You have to assemble it like a Honey Badger, so three hands will help.

3. The safety install is a bit tricky, like the KP-15 lower, however this design allows for standard safety levers.  A standard Detent pin must be modified and the base flat needs to ground off. To remove the Safety Lever the 14mm screw will have be removed that will relieve the spring pressure, there is a little slit to help you fish out the spring.

Printing Tips:

For Lower Main and Buffer:
0.16 layer heights.
0.32 support spacing Z-heights.
PLA+
0.5mm Line Width with 0.4 nozzle.
105% Flow
3mm of wall (6 layers)
20% infill

The Brace and Stock can be printed with thinner walls and a taller layer height for faster print. Buffer Sacrifice should be 100% infill.

Hardware required:

1 spacer 5mm thick x 1 inch( the buffer tube is 5mm long so a 5 mm spacer is required to prevent the top of the BCG from smashing into the buffer tube). There is also a STL file included if you want to print one (Printing it in TPU with100% infill recommended)

24 M3x0.5mm 20mm (long) Socket head screws   McMaster:91292A123

(Note: the safety uses a single 14mm screw so use a 14mm   McMaster:91292A027 or just cut down a 20mm screw)

24 M3x0.5mm Hex Nut   McMaster:91828A211

1 M8 x 20mm Socket head screw 6mm Hex driver

1 M8 nut (should be 1/2" across)

1 1/4" Diameter 1-1/4" Useable length Flat-Head Quick-Release Pin  McMaster: 90156A263

1 1/4" Diameter 1-1/2" Useable length Flat-Head Quick-Release Pin McMaster: 90156A508

2 KE-Arms KP-15 Hammer Pins (standard pins should work in a pinch)
1 KE-Arms Safety Detent Pin (or you can file off the bottom ring of a standard safety) Look at the KE-Arms website for what the Detent Pin should look like.

1 KE-Arms Safety Selector (a standard one can be used, but when removing the Selector, the Socket head screw in the grip must be removed first)

1 Standard bolt release hardware
1 Standard magazine catch hardware
1 trigger

1 buffer spring + buffer
