FBS-1 AKM Buttstock:

A fixed buttstock, similar in overall geometry to standard AKM buttstocks. The overall length of the design is ~1in. (24mm) longer than that of the soviet version. The cheek comb is ~4mm longer than OEM, and is more rounded for better comfort. (The OEM stock comb gets kind of sharp toward the front, and becomes slightly painful under recoil)

The hollow portion of the stock has printed reinforcements for enhanced durability, reducing damage from impact forces. This design either can be printed as two halves (plus the buttpad) or a single part, for printers with build volumes as large as CR10s. Two buttpads are available, either in a convex, or concave shape. (Buttpads can easily be printed in TPU)

Hardware Needed:
2x M4x12mm - M4x15mm Screws
7x Dowel Rods (1/4in diameter, 28mm long)
Gorilla Clear Glue

Assembly:
NOTE: Skip to step 5 if printing the single part stock.

1) Lightly spray both stock mating faces and dowel rods with water. (Gorilla CLEAR glue cures with moisture.)
2) Apply gorilla clear glue into the dowel rod insertion holes, then press the dowels in.
3) Apply the adhesive the the mating face and dowel rod insertion holes of the stock half (Or whichever half doesn't have the dowel rods inserted.)
4) Press both stock halves together. Wipe away any adhesive squeezeout, and clamp together/put something heavy on the two halves for 2 hours minimum.
5) Screw the buttpad onto the stock's end.
6) Press the buttstock into the rear trunnion of the AKM, and drive the mounting screws, holding the buttstock in place.

Note: Should the OEM rear trunnion stock retention screws be of a different diameter, simply drill the holes in the stock to the proper diameter before mounting. Doing this avoids the risk of cracking along layer lines, should you drive larger screws in.
