The FGC-9 Mk1 is a hybrid 9mm semi-automatic pistol project based on Derwood’s Shuty AP-9. This project was initiated by JStark1809 with the goal of creating an AP-9 variant that could be made in Europe. Changes to facilitate this include: - Utilizing a homemade barrel (created using electrochemical machining or ECM), eliminating the dependency on an aftermarket Glock barrel - Converting the project for use with metric hardware and fasteners - Adapting the project for use with an airsoft M4 fire control group These changes mean that the FGC-9 is the first Shuty to theoretically require no aftermarket firearms parts whatsoever. Extensive documentation for manufacture and testing was provided with the FGC-9, which helped lead to its becoming one of the most widely popular 3D-printed firearms. As with the AP-9, the FGC-9 accepts Glock-style magazines, and its release package includes IvanTheTroll’s printable Menendez Magazine. The “FGC” in FGC-9 stands, of course, for “Fuck Gun Control”. This firearm, and its designer, was featured in Popular Front’s “Plastic Defence” documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlB2QV5wVxg
