This is a replica of the percussion M1915 stick grenade. The M1915 is both an iconic grenade from the first world war, and an intricate mechanical device. There are field crafted examples that have survived which pair an M1913 ball grenade with the percussion stick handle and they are now popularized by videogames set in WW1.

This project uses a wooden dowel and M228 grenade parts for a good looking and reliable end product. It can be assembled as either an M1915 or an M1913/15. 

The spoon retains an M228 hammer which strikes a pistol primer upon release and ignites a visco fuse attached to a payload. The spoon is held by a standard ring pull pin. The head containing the payload and the percussion mechanism handle can be separated and stored apart for safety.
