This mini-claymore is based on the MM-1 'Minimore' command detonated mine. The original Minimore boasts an impressive yield of half the capacity of an M18A1 Claymore mine, whilst being only one third the size. It is simpler and less noticeable than the original claymore mine.
Simply drill and tap the detonator well(s) for the desired mode of ignition and drill a hole in the sliding front cover to match.
Fix the back plate to the desired location with nails, wood screws, tape or whatever method is best, slide the loaded front cover into place, and insert the detonator.
While the original filler is ball bearings and plastic explosive, It also works well with a dense mixture of smoke powder provided the opposite detonator well is drilled to full size to release smoke. It can be used in conjunction with a cheap M228 grenade fuse reloaded with a primer to ignite a smoke or sound charge using a tripwire as an expedite signal or deterrent device.
