This model is build up like a half-automatic pistol with a calibre 7.65 mm, 6.35 mm or 0.22 inch. Typical for this kind of pistols are a "compression spring - mass shutter".
The shutter bolt is locked only by spring force, not rigid locked while the cartridge is in the cartridge chamber. The shutter bolt has a safety lock in the backward position for easy inserting, respective removing the cartridge through the cartridge window.
The hammer is designed as a seperate, dependend or undependend axial moveable cylindrical component with an own compression spring and has a safety lock as a metal wire bow, fastened on the end cap.
The firing pin is integrated in the shutter bolt.
After firing, the gas pressure moves the shutter bolt and the hammer together backwards against the springs forces, to the locking positions.
With an optional adapter you can use this design also for shooting pyrotechnical articles, as shown in the 3D-model.
Attention:
All components must be manufactured of high strong materials: steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, titanium and spring steel. This model was not yet manufactured and therefore it is not tested, whether it is safety enough, for shooting.
All of the compression springs have to be calculated for optimal and safety function.
This 3D-model is a proposal respective concept only, designed by me, without any recherching for existing and/or similar products.
