A printable VOG-17 bomblet with a tail-fin variation type currently used by DNR and Russian forces. These bomblet adaptions which are in use by both sides are remarkably simple and rely on only 3D printed parts and a nail for contact initiation. Both adaptions of original VOG-17 grenades as well as entirely printed bomblets are in use which can be dropped from small commercial off-the-shelf quadcopters.
This version features a slightly wider bomblet body and uses 4mm dia steel bar or ball bearings as a shrapnel payload. The tail-fin unit fits both the original VOG-17 as well as printed bomblets.
Materials:
- Steel nail (30mm long, 2.5mm dia)
Main filling: 80g PETN
Fragmentation: 4mm dia, 32mm long steel round bar sections x 36 or 4mm dia ball bearings.
Fuze operation: Nail + shotgun primer
