I have given more than enough time for the gatalogians to catch up. If they can prove that they have made any progress towards "release" in any capacity whatsoever I will take these files back down.
Prove that the beta is an active endeavor, publicly post screenshots and I will take the files down.
No, the video of you testing with 300blk subs that you made a few days after I left (6+ months ago) does not count, that is not a rifle round and has very similar muzzle pressure out of whatever barrel length to a 9mm super. This project isn't even NFA related, you should easily be able to find people to test it. There are enough people already in the room to test it, unless you simply are completely incompetent and wish to hide that fact from the world.
If you are planning on trying to make changes to the files to make it compatible with rifles, I wish you luck because it's going to be pretty difficult to do that and maintain the absolute art that ruby did when she made them originally. (unless of course, you are simply better than me, in which case I am once again begging you to prove it)
you will not be allowed to hoard the files, and I will not hoard them myself. I still have a functioning RnT set that i use for tests because i actually liked it.
The rose and thorn is a flash can/muzzle brake combo for pistol caliber carbines.
by Ruby Authored by Nikolai.Romanov
The rose and thorn is a PCC muzzle brake and/or flash can combination that can be used either as a standalone, combination, or seperately. they are not a QD detachable system.
Following the death of ruby, I made it my mission to finish two of the ruby files which were left over. One of those projects is the RGC Chimera, the other is the Rose and Thorn.
With great controversy the first time they were published, I did some things that were me lashing out at the unfortunate power structure which had been contrived surrounding ruby's final gift to the world. It is not something to be hoarded. I refuse to stand for this.
While my actions the first time around were wrong, and I acknowledge that, I do hope that people will appreciate this project for what it is, and ruby's work will be appreciated for its merits, and not the fact that ruby was transgender. the fact that ruby is transgender has absolutely nothing to do with her provenance as a designer. anyone that tries to construe things otherwise is using her dead body as a flag.
The original arguments over the release of these two projects were rooted in a single paragraph written in a long-shelved documentation package which was to accompany this, which bears repeating.
To any who would wish to politicise or weaponize the works of the late and great Ruby, please don't. It is unsighty. As a member of the team helping test the Rose & Thorn, I never learned about the controversial nature of their life until after their untimely end. Therefore, I would like to ask each and every one of the readers of this document to appreciate the work of this pleasant and by all accounts nice individual to their fullest extent, which would be without any thought to politics or identity. It is simply a wonderful model made for anyone to enjoy.
With that said, please continue to the rest of the guide, and thank you for reading.
-Nikolai Romanov
The RnT in this iteration has been tested somewhat extensively with PCCs - when printed correctly it will work fine. However, dont expect it to survive a rifle. the rose itself will not explode, but the flash hider bits on the front will blow out - use at your own risk. the thorn will unceremoniously explode upon use with a rifle. don't do it.
the rose can even be printed in PETG and will survive fine assuming you are using one of the thread adapter options.
WARNING NOT FOR USE WITH RIFLE CALIBERS USE WITH .45ACP, 5.7X28, 22WMR/LR, AND 9MM ONLY. USING THE ROSE AND THORN IN ANY COMBINATION WITH A RIFLE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE VERY UNSAFE IT WILL EXPLODE
Thanks to the beta testers and DD admins involved -iamarizona (which really didnt do anything but make things worse but whatever, you get some credit for being present, even if you threatened violence against me) -rsmith28 (originally involved in documentation, was nice at least) -Sparquah (tester, also a very rude person but iirc they did test it at least once.) -Lizzyhasagat (tester, also threatened to swat me later.) -TooAceForThisShit (tester, afaik okay) -uncleJunior (i dont remember why, but im sure they tested it) -nikolairomanov (tested the RnT in multiple forms and added all of the current thread patterns, as well as made this entire filepack.)
If there is any thread pattern Rose/Thorn/RnT you need and not in the pack please feel free to contact me through any channel and I will make it for you, and the pack will be updated with the new files.
