The SRD-1-M (Shrapnel Release Device) is a smaller, quicker to produce version of the original SRD-1 Grenade.
Printer Used: Ender 3 V2
Filament Used: PLA+
Print Settings:
Extruder: 220C
Bed: 56C
First Layer Print Height: .2mm
Standard Layer Height: .12
Wall Thickness: .40
Wall Perimeters: 9+
Infill: 80%+
Print the fuse guide and device body upside-down.
Materials Needed:
Black Gunpowder
10x 5mm Steel Ball Bearings (Or 8x 6mm Steel Ball Bearings)
3mm Pyrotechnics Fuse (70mm-75mm in Length)
Plastic Bonding JB Weld or Epoxy
Blue Painter Tape
Assembly Instructions:
1) Insert the fuse though the fuse guide, leaving 20mm-25mm of it exposed out the top end. Use blue tape around the tapered
threaded end of the fuse guide to keep the rest of the fuse in place. Do not cover the entire exposed fuse with tape, only a
small amount is needed to adhere.
2) Pour black powder into the device body's inner chamber, filling roughly half of the volume.
3) Pour in ball bearings.
4) Apply epoxy to the bottom of the cap, and the threads of the fuse guide.
5) With a pair of needle nose pliers inserted into the top channels of the fuse guide, screw said fuse guide into the device
body.
6) Allow epoxy to cure for at least 8 hours minimum.
7) LIGHTLY shake the device to distribute ball bearings in the gunpowder.
8) I don't think I need to tell you how to set off fireworks... but store in a dry, dark place until use.
