The Taxidriver is a single-shot fully DIY open-bolt .22LR firearm that can be configured as a carbine (legally, a pistol) or a rifle. It is based on an earlier design, the Hitchhiker. The Taxidriver and its documentation improve upon the Hitchhiker in many ways.

The Taxidriver:

• Corrects CAD errors that makes the Hitchhiker potentially unsafe
• Improves the design in other ways to facilitate easier assembly.
• Adds all required details to the BOM, making the design fully DIY
• Provides jigs and instructions for how to fabricate the bolt
• Converts the measurement standard to imperial throughout, removing the obnoxious
• mixture of metric and imperial
• Rewrites the documentation to provide better, clearer, less-cringy instructions
