TESSA 9mm pistol

about

This is Project TESSA: Tactically Enhanced Songbird Similar Armament. It is a 9mm single-shot pistol, whose Firing-Pin (a 13mm nail) is attached to the Hammer. The base concept for this gun was taken from Patrick's 'Songbird'. Unlike the 'Songbird' this gun should not take long to reload. And unlike my last gun, this one is in its 1st version, since it is such a simple design.

This gun is buildable in two (2) ways. The first being a fully constructed chassis. The second being a vertically sliced chassis that is easier to remove the supports from. But you have to glue this version together.

As before, Please test this gun and report what works, what doesn't, improvements, and other helpful things.

####Assembly Instructions (as if you'll need them):

Take a look at the 'Assembly Guide' pic. You've probably already done this, because you were so bored waiting for this thing to print.

Remove all supports.

##If you're using the Sliced Chassis:

Take the Hammer, Loader, and Trigger Pivots and glue them into the holes on one half. Drop each piece respectively onto its pivot (AFTER you've Epoxy-d a nail into the Hammer, that is. Be careful how you position it).

Hook an elastic onto the hook at the bottom of the Hammer and onto the hook at the bottom of the inside of the Chassis. You can also do this with an extension spring; there are holes for that.

Make sure each part moves freely before glueing on the other half.

Put a spring behind the trigger, or an elastic from the trigger to somewhere else if you haven't got any springs lying about.

##If you're using the Regular Chassis:

Wangle each part into its appropriate spot and slide the pivots in and glue them. Talking of glue, you don't HAVE to use it. It makes part replacement impossible, so if you don't want to, I don't believe it's necessary.

Put Elastics or springs on the hammer and trigger.

Remember to sand the bits that'll be rubbing each other.
